After reaching out to a few more RV posts for sale, I finally own a RV! I’m expected to pick up my new (to me) RV in a few weeks. I have a few work trips I need to take, and the seller agreed to keep it covered in storage while I’m gone, so it’s a complete win-win situation! While it’s not exactly as new of a RV as I was hoping, it’s mechanically well with a few minor issues, but I think it’s going to be a good first starter RV. I am overly excited and cannot wait to start this adventure. I have lots to start thinking about, but for now, I’m just going to focus on finalizing my move out (I seriously cannot believe how long this has taken!) and then organizing storage, and of course, work stuff!
Here’s a peek at me using my RVworking pen to finalize and sign over the bill of sale and agreement.
I anticipate keeping this at least 6 months to recoup my costs and break even from renting my house, and then any time I get out of it from there will be a bonus! Sure, the inside is a bit smaller and tighter than I hoped, a few key pieces I’d like to have had with my first purchase, but it’s certainly an upgrade from my previous Coleman Pop-Up Camper I previously had. In fact, I’m not sure if I shared any of those pictures in the past, so here’s a quick picture of it I found from a few years ago. This too was at a Thousand Trails campground!
Now the time is getting serious! I am hoping that I’ll be able to get it home in just enough time to clean it out, load it up with some stuff from storage, and then hit the road by July 1st! I’m planning to take a short trip to Thousand Trails for the Fourth of July weekend, and then head down to Florida to get it registered.
I’ll be adding more about this RV to the specs page, so look for that soon! In the meantime, it’s time for me to celebrate, learn, and prepare. I’m extremely excited to start this!
